The Ideon Audio “absolute Time” was conceived, designed, and manufactured as an ultra hi-end audiophile device, re-clocking, re-energizing, and re-driving the digital signal with correction at both the input and output stages. It improves the digital signal quality to what is currently an absolute level.

Addressing digital playback challenges

We all know that digital music-file playback faces several challenges, not least of which is the signal transfer stage. In other words, however good your signal extraction is, the transfer function, in and of itself, messes with our music data; USB ports for example, being designed for data transfer only pay lip service to the timing — “phase” — element inherent in music. Additionally, the USB power is usually noisy and poorly regulated (because it does not have to be any better for its originally intended use).

At Ideon Audio we have been working on addressing these issues for more than three years; our popular 3R and the award-winning Master Time signal rejuvenating and re-clocking devices are the fruits of these efforts.

Utilizing expertise obtained through our proprietary 3R re-clocking circuits, our Clients’ feedback and suggestions, and latest technology, the absolute Time was designed to address signal degradation issues in a definitive manner. Superlative power and constant correction are legion here too.

Dual Input and Outputs (USB & SPDIF)

The absolute Time incorporates separate USB and SPDIF inputs and outputs — a boon for CD collectors for the enjoyment of their music!

SPDIF Correction / Re-clocking

The Absolute Time SPDIF circuit also includes a stabilized coax input and a proprietary, ultra-low-noise, jitter-less re-clocking platform with 12.8MHz master clock output;

Stability and Power

The absolute Time incorporates electrically stable signal inputs and outputs; more importantly, it has a high power, 2.5A (5V rail) USB output, capable of driving any load without loss of detail, clarity, or dynamics.

Ideon Audio, over spec’d Power Supply

Huge, linear, power supplies have become an Ideon Audio trademark. We gave the absolute Time an excessive (i.e. textbook standards) main power bank composed of selected audiophile, low esr, silk caps. The audiophile transformer is high-wattage for the application and hand-made.

Abundant Clean Power

As with all Ideon devices, power is carefully rectified and regulated to ensure vanishingly low noise and distortion. In the a-Time we have included triple-stage, ultra-stabilized, filtering, fueling the circuit.

This approach is instrumental in achieving the sound quality pursued: alive, real, and dynamic, connecting you  to the musical event.

Future Proof Phase Correction

Correct timing is what the absolute Time is all about! We apply correction at both ends (input-output) of the circuit. Our multiple, ultra-low jitter femto clocks upgradable platform, ensures that the output signal is phase correct with vanishingly low jitter.

Massive, single-block aluminium chassis

The 13kg (29~ lb) CNC milled chassis takes 10 hours to complete. The result is a solid mechanical base housing the most intricate and expensive electronics available currently. Various finishes are available to order.
