Build your system on the ultimate bedrock
The Mark Levinson No.5302 features a beautiful curved aluminum and glass front panel. Its 1"-thick aluminum chassis flows seamlessly into an elegant glass display with a single standby button in the center. Two solid aluminum handles on the front and massive heat sinks on each side give it the visual symmetry of a modern concert pavilion.
Refined industrial cosmetic design is a Mark Levinson hallmark. But in this case, it's functionally useful, too. Those handles will be come in handy when moving all 70 pounds of this discrete, direct-coupled, dual monaural Class AB amplifier. And those heat sinks will keep it running cool.
High-current output
The '5302's voltage gain stage topology descends directly from Mark Levinson's revered No.534 amplifier. The foundation is a beastly 1100 VA toroidal transformer with individual secondary windings for both channels. From there, four 10,000 microfarad capacitors per channel deliver lots of high-current power — 135 watts x 2 into 8 ohms, and 270 watts x 2 into 4 ohms, with stable operation down to 2 ohms. In plain terms, it can cleanly power practically any speaker set you choose.
