Versatile, High-Performance Streamer/Preamp
The TEAC UD-701N streamer/preamp offers exceptional performance and can handle almost any analog or digital stereo source you wish to connect. It features a high-quality DAC, along with Ethernet network connectivity and Bluetooth for wireless streaming. Pair it with your preferred amplifier — the AP-701B is an ideal companion — and you'll experience clear, precise sound with an impressively low noise floor.

Dual-Mono Toroidal Transformers
This streaming preamp’s dual-mono design includes two sets of toroidal transformers — one dedicated to the analog section and another to the digital. Its carefully engineered circuitry and construction involve physically suspending the electronics within the chassis, minimizing unwanted noise that could disrupt your audio signal.

Integrated Delta Sigma DAC
The integrated TEAC discrete Delta Sigma DAC provides a precise, natural rendering of digital music sources. It supports decoding up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD512 (22.5MHz) resolution for an ultra-detailed audio experience from high-resolution music files. It also handles MQA files and can upconvert the sampling frequencies of lower-resolution files by two, four, or eight times — up to the DAC's maximum resolution.

Flexible Connections
The UD-701N offers a wide array of options for connecting your music sources. It features both balanced and unbalanced analog inputs, allowing you to connect anything from a CD player to a turntable and phono preamp. Coaxial and optical inputs provide even more versatility, supporting high-resolution digital music files.

USB-A ports on both the front and rear panels allow you to connect flash drives loaded with music. Alternatively, you can play music files directly from a computer connected to the rear-panel USB-B port. All USB connections support playback at the DAC's maximum resolution.

Wired Network Streaming
This streamer connects to your home network via a wired Ethernet connection to your router, allowing it to work seamlessly with Wi-Fi-connected devices like smartphones and computers. The free TEAC HR Streamer app for Apple® and Android™ devices lets you add, organize, and play your digital sources easily. It provides convenient access to your network-attached storage (NAS) drives and supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, and more.

The UD-701N is compatible with OpenHome standards for synchronized multi-room streaming and will appear in your player list if you're using Roon (subscription required). Built-in Bluetooth with aptX® HD and LDAC codecs ensures surprisingly detailed sound when streaming from your compatible device to the UD-701N.

Integrated High-Quality Headphone Amp
This unit’s built-in headphone amplifier is capable of driving a wide range of headphones. It features two front-panel jacks — a standard 1/4" jack and a balanced XLR4 (4-pin) jack. The latter can be switched between balanced and active ground modes, offering additional flexibility for achieving the best sound with your favorite high-performance headphones.
